original antique american eastlake style ornamental cast iron interior residential pocket door handle manufactured by the norwalk lock co., norwalk, conn. the decorative pocket door backplate features both butterflies and winged birds in addition to the other floral design motifs typical of this time period. refinished and sealed with a cleat coat lacquer. dates to the 1880's. measures approximately 5 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches.
