finely crafted c. 1870's american victorian era ornamental cast bronze triangular-shaped residential doorknob escutcheon designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the fanciful backplate contains a nicely aged and undisturbed surface patina. very elegant design typical of the victorian period.
