exceptional oversized antique american industrial freestanding c. 1920's-1930's "quack" medical "mir-a-kal ray" adjustable height floor lamp designed and manufactured by the j.h. eastman co., detroit, mi. the fully adjustable height floor lamp features a weighted cast iron base with four fanciful legs welded to a large circular ring. the lower portion of the telescoping stand connected to the base shares the same black enameled finish. the bent chrome plated tubular steel extension arm supports a rather large pierced metal deep bowl reflector comprised of spun aluminum with a baked black enameled finish. a chrome plated bent steel bracket allows the shade to be tilted to desired angle. socket and housing original and intact. the fixture has been rewired. measures 18 x 18 (base) 13 1/2 x 12 (light fixture) 71 3/4 (height) inches.
