c. 1930's american industrial factory office mobile stenographer or typewriter's "posture" chair, fabricated by the the fritz-cross company, st. paul, mn. the highly stylized and versatile chair retains the original leather upholstered armrests, seat and backrest. the four-legged mobile base is comprised of heavy gauge bent tubular steel. the detachable armrest brackets or supports are made of reinforced cast aluminum. the fully adjustable chair contains two faucet-type handles for controlling tilt and height. original hardened black rubber swivel casters in great working condition. the metal components have been thoroughly refinished and treated with a cleat coat lacquer. the versatile office chair is rather comfortable, and visually exudes "machine age" style. seat height adjusts up to 20 inches.
