fully functional 19th century american ornamental cast bronze interior residential window sash lock designed and fabricated by branford lock works, branford, ct. the uniquely designed sash lock retains the original "eagle claw" keeper with two screw holes for mounting against the outer sash frame. the rotating arm is actuated by a folding lever handle that locks into place when placed in the down position. unique pyramidal-shaped faceted finial with floral ornament intact. salvaged from the extant david c. cook mansion, located in elgin, il. dates to 1886. metallic bronze enameled finish provides added contrast.
