completely intact c. 1930's american vintage medical adjustable height hospital operating or examination room doctor stool. salvaged from a south side chicago hospital and/or clinic (now defunct). the black upholstered swivel seat is tightly affixed to a solid steel threaded rod supported by a bent tubular steel four-legged base. the white enameled finish remains largely intact. the hardened black rubber "shoes" are original and intact. fabricated by the clark & roberts mfg. co., indianapolis, ind. measures 28 inches in height when fully extended.
