completely intact c. 1948-50 vintage medical adjustable height hospital room floor lamp salvaged from michael resse hospital located in chicago, il. features a weighted cross-cross cast iron four-legged black enameled base with original hardened black rubber swivel casters. the extension pole or rod is comprised of steel with original polished chrome plating. original tan enameled finish largely intact. the lamphead features a detachable steel socket housing. the deep bowl reflector with interior mirrored finish retains the original semi-transparent glass lens. the angle of the lamp head is adjusted with a molded black plastic handle. original heavy duty rubber cord with intact in-line on/off switch. the "type 46" floor lamp swivels 360 degress. fabricated by the wilmot castle co., rochester, ny. when fully extended, measures approximately 80 inches in height. makes for an ideal reading lamp, etc.
