original c. 1930's art deco streamlined style varnished oak wood fireplace mantle, salvaged from a lakeshore drive apartment building penthouse. the mantle features a centrally located segmented sunburst design, flanked by tapered and or stepped jambs. the millwork fabricator is not known. the large opening measures 39 1/2 x 40 inches. the outer mantle dimensions are 48 x 56 1/2 inches. remarkable and rare art deco american fireplace mantle.
