early 20th century original antique american "oakdale" pattern interior residential doorknob designed and fabricated by the lockwood mfg. co., south norwalk, ct. the passage size doorknob is comprised of wrought yellow brass. the banded rim doorknob features embossed leafage surrounding a button center with beaded border. dates to around 1914. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
