UR #: UR-2663-09

Description

outstanding industrial metal hamilton cabinet containing a total of 24 matching drawers. each of the shallow drawers or trays has a set of riveted cast brass pulls with maker name embossed on the front. metal label slide holders intact on every drawer. the pull out drawers contain an intricate wood grid for the storage and display of ornamental stamping dies. the cabinet was removed from the j.o. pollack co., based in chicago. the business is gone, but the building/factory remains (fell prey to the typical condo conversion). original army green enamel finish largely intact on each of the drawers. nice aged patina, with usual wear and tear. to achieve a cleaner look, one may strip the metal cabinet to bare metal with nice contrasting brass drawer pulls. measures 35 1/4 by 21 3/4 by 43 1/2 inches. hamilton was based in two rivers, wi., and made a variety of "wood goods (i.e., cabinets, etc.) and steel".
