single c. 1930's american depression era original and largely intact cold-rolled steel "women" porcelain or vitreous enameled steel lavatory door sign designed and fabricated by the ready-made sign co., new york city, ny. the diminutive single-sided sign contains bold cobalt blue lettering against a white porcelain enameled background. the two opposed screw holes retain the original stamped steel grommets. the bathroom sign was salvaged from a chicago factory administration building. measures 6 x 1 1/2 inches.
