original and intact vintage american industrial multi-tier heavy gauge steel freestanding shelving unit designed and fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. the collapsible storage rack was salvaged from a recently shuttered chicago tool & die factory. the heavy duty metal rack contains a multitude of graduating shelves supported by reinforced angled steel uprights. the nicely worn and weathered green paint finish remains largely intact. the "lyon" shelving system measures 37 1/4 x 18 1/2 x 74 inches.
