structurally sound and robust c. 1940's world war ii-era freestanding heavy gauge steel shelving unit with an old blue paint finish. the multi-tier "small parts" storage unit was salvaged from an old general electric factory now shuttered. the collapsible shelving unit contains angled steel uprights reinforced by cross-bracing and/or stretchers. the folded and pressed steel shelves contain raised edges on three sides (designed to prevent spillage). possibly fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. the old blue paint finish remains largely intact. measures 20 3/4 x 12 3/4 x 53 1/2 inches.
