originally partially cleaned late 19th century original "ceylon" pattern interior residential passage size doorknob and backplate salvaged from a chicago graystone two-flat undergoing demolition. the popular eastlake style hardware was designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin hardware co., new britain, ct. the single dome-shaped doorknob with banded rims and rectangular-shaped backplate are comprised of wrought brass. several sets (in various configurations) were salvaged from this historic chicago residence. priced for the set. the doorknob measures approximately 2 inches in diameter each. the backplate measures approximately 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches each.
