original c. 1940's unique four-legged bent tubular steel factory machine shop stool likely designed and fabricated by lyon metal products, aurora, ills. the exceptional stool was salvaged from a chicago tool & die shop founded in the 1920's. the rounded seat is supported by a threaded spindle that rotates up or down, making the height of the seat fully adjustable. the stool has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. great overall condition.
