very unique and unusual refinished antique american industrial dome-shaped reflector or task light originally affixed to a factory machine shop drill stand. the diminutive shade was likely fabricated by benjamin or the harvey hubbell company. the machine shop was originally apart of the the roberts electric company located on morgan street in the historic fulton market district of chicago. the company specialized in fabrication components used in military aircraft. the brass shell socket and swivel bracket are original and in great working condition. fixture measures 3 1/4 in diameter x 5 inches high. length with stand fully extended is 7 inches.
