c. 1920's antique american industrial heavy duty cast iron contact switch designed and fabricated for a depression-era american otis elevator once used in the crane brothers factory. the relay and/or contact switchboard component is comprised largely of cast iron with solid copper wire and spring-loaded contacts. the center contains a solid turned wood handle. the original insulated wiring and baked black enameled finish remains intact.
