all original vintage american medical ceiling mount double-arm surgical light salvaged from the old cook county hospital, chicago, il. the dual ceiling mount operating room lamp contains two oversized streamlined style rolled rim reflectors with stepped profile. the bulbous socket housings are designed for use with standard incandescent light bulbs. the segmented cast iron ceiling mount is affixed to a heavy gauge steel pipe supporting the two articulating lamps. the original silver metallic enamel with hammered finish remains largely intact. the dome-shaped reflectors are equipped with exterior and interior handles for maximum flexibility. the reinforced trunnion mounts are in excellent working condition. the operating room ceiling light fixture was designed and fabricated by the castle company, rochester, ny. two nearly identical dual-mount surgical lights available. diameter of light measures 23 1/2 inches while each light's arm fully extends to 58 inches and the ceiling light measures 63 inches in height.
