nicely aged all original and intact oversized late 19th century ornamental cast bronze "pasco" pattern entrance door backplate designed and fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., new britain, ct. the massive doorknob backplate or escutcheon features elegantly designed floral motifs along the very top and bottom. a single cherub head rests below a large urn with beaded banding and flame finial. the surface patina is mostly uniform throughout. the heavy cast bronze entrance door plate was salvaged from a chicago two-flat residence constructed around 1897. measures 3 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches.
