well-maintained all original and hard to find compact interior salvaged chicago two-flat vestibule mailbox equipped with a speaking tube and electric push button doorbell. the two individual units are mounted firmly against the original beveled edge oak wood frame originally mounted flush against the wall. the wrought brass mailboxes were likely designed and fabricated by the garden city plating & mfg. company, chicago, il. the original varnished finish has darkened over time, with allover crazing evident. measures 14 x 3 x 16 inches.
