this salvage involved removal of both exterior and interior components. the interior contained a matching set of two-tone wood burning marble mantles. the doors were faux-finish pine five panel w/ chicago style hardware. there was evidence of plaster parlor ceiling medallions, but they must have been removed years ago. bullseye header blocks and machine cut casing and plinths were standard throughout. the staircase contained a nicely turned oak newel w/ stylized spindles. the double door entrance features intricate cut patterns within the recessed paneling. the entrance hardware was made by the nashua hardware co. door bolts were removed long ago. the exterior contained cut limestone lintels or rectangular window heads w/ plain cut stone sills. above the entrance way, there was a small canopy flanked by decorative wood brackets and topped off w/ a very delicate cast iron widows walk or cresting. the house was located near old town. c. 1878.
