c. 1920's american noel bank building teller cage "next window" self-standing desk or table notification plaque likely designed and fabricated by the garden city plating & mfg. co., chicago, il. the solid cast bronze sign contains a nicely aged surface patina. the original baked black enameled inlay used to accentuate the lettering remains intact. the sign was salvaged from the extant noel state bank building, located in the wicker park neighborhood of chicago. the american neoclassical style bank building was designed and built by the architectural firm of weary & alford co., chicago, il., for joseph noel, who founded the north west savings bank in 1905. two matching signs available. measures 12 x 3 inches.
