unusual late 1920's custom-built american industrial factory workbench lockable storage cabinet salvaged from a milwaukee tool & die assembly plant. the welded and riveted joint heavy gauge sheet steel cabinet contains a drop-down door, concealing three custom-built pressed and folded red enameled steel single compartment drawers. the lockable cabinet door contains a fully functional rolled barrel hinge and hasp. the cabinet's exterior has been brushed down to bare metal and treated with a clear coat lacquer. the painted shelves were left untouched. the primitive machinists toolbox or "strong box" measures 20 1/4 x 11 1/2 x 13 3/4 inches.
