Description

c. 1890's antique american interior residential varnished oak wood fireplace mantel salvaged from a chicago graystone undergoing demolition. the full (i.e., two-section) mantle features two sets of finely turned and tapered solid oak wood columns with hand carved floral ornament. retains the original french bevel mirror positioned between the upper columns. rounded edge crown intact. very simple, yet elegant fireplace mantel. fabricated by the chrisop mantel co., chicago, il. measures 62 1/2 x 11 x 82 inches. firebox opening measures 41 1/2 x 36 inches.
