pair of early 20th century antique american arts & crafts style interior residential bookcase colonnades recently salvaged from a chicago bungalow residence built around 1915. the bookcases and adjoining tapered columns are comprised of solid white oak wood with original varnished finish. the fully adjustable oak wood shelves are supported by diminutive cast iron brackets. the hinged cabinet doors with clear panes of glass, retain the original pressed steel functional cabinet latches. the unique columns contain multiples recessed panels surrounded by trimwork. the "stepped" colonnade caps originally supported stationary art glass light fixtures long since lost. the largely intact dividers were fabricated by the e.l. roberts & co., chicago, il. priced for the pair. measures 32 1/2 x 13 1/2 x 58 inches.
