two matching refinished late 19th century original and intact american antique eastlake style "oriental" pattern doorknob backplates designed and fabricated by branford lock works, branford, ct. the matching escutcheons or backplates have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. each backplate contains a protruding wrought steel thimble or collar, along with a single skeleton keyhole and top and bottom screw holes for mounting purposes. the interior residential passage door backplates were salvaged from a chicago 3-flat residence undergoing demolition. priced for the pair. multiple pairs available. 5 1/2 inches x 1 1/2 inches
