large deposit of fragments discovered in ash pits and a single privy (brick-lined) on a double lot of land located in the little italy neighborhood of chicago. the unearthed artifacts date to 1880-1905. we discovered several "blob top" beer bottles, transferware, glazed stoneware, cobalt blue bromo-seltzer bottles and medicinal bottle fragments. several chunks of coal, along with clam shells and animal bones were found in and around the dig sites.
