urban remain's showroom begins transition into an artifact exhibition and event space

this might seem bold and perhaps foolish from a business standpoint, but i have emptied my showroom entirely of any displayable artifacts, in order to create a blank slate that i hope will transition it from a retail setting to a space for events, lectures and revolving exhibits. since the showroom is already paid for through summer, i have no intention of generating any income.
instead, i simply want to utilize the gallery, with its great location and curb appeal, to showcase some of my events as well any others’ events (free of charge) pertaining to chicago history, architecture, etc. i anticipate using the showroom for the john kent russell building artifact exhibit and the bldg. 51 book launch party; i welcome any and all ideas, if the space does show success as a platform for lectures, meetings, and hosting events revolving around my interests, then there is a strong possibility that i will make educational programming a more permanent component of urban remains/bldg. 51.
