c. 1880's american ornamental cast brass interior residential single pocket door backplate likely fabricated by sargent or possibly norwalk. the pocket door backplate contains a deeply recessed "cup" handle with skeleton keyhole. the aesthetic movement backplate is highly stylized with abstract floral motifs. contains a black enameled inlay to accentuate the casting detail. measures approximately 4 1/2 x 2 inches.
