exceptional 19th century antique american ornamental fired clay or terra cotta exterior roofline chimney pot attributed to the northwestern terra cotta co., chicago, ills. the tapered and multi-faceted residential chimney pot contains a two-tone slip glaze with allover crazing evident. the chamfered edge base is structurally sound and stable. the 19t century chimney pot was salvaged from a chicago mansion undergoing renovations. a total of three matching pots were removed. great overall condition with nicely aged patina. the interior cavity is hollow with no dividers evident.
