19th century original fanciful oversized all-beveled thick leaded glass chicago residential transom window designed and fabricated by or for the foster & munger company, chicago, il. the intact large victorian era window is adorned with a classic centrally located palmette with opposed scrollwork. the beveled glass is free from damage, cracks, breaks or replaced segments. the original weathered and worn painted pine wood frame is structurally sound and sturdy. the leaded glass window was salvaged from a west side three-story or "flat" apartment building constructed around 1888-89. only one available. measures 21 6/8 x 2 x 50 1/4inches.
