fully functional lightweight mobile vintage c. 1940's american industrial lockable filing and/or storage cabinet designed and fabricated by remington rand, library bureau division, elmira, new york. the old green enameled steel rolling cabinet was salvaged from a well-known chicago foundry undergoing demolition. the portable all-metal cabinet was salvaged from the foundry's laboratory. the cabinet retains the original streamlined chrome handle designed to slide and/or lift the lockable top into an upright position for full access to the spacious interior. the undershelf provides added support and storage space. great overall condition, considering. the nicely distressed green paint finish has been lightly cleaned. measures 14 x 19 x 27 3/4 inches.
