19th century antique american eastlake style "crisscross" pattern interior residential ornamental cast brass pocket door plate manufactured around 1879-1883 by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the uniquely designed escutcheon plate contains a deeply recessed cup handle for pulling the sliding door from the pocket. a black enameled inlay accentuates the detail. excellent overall condition. measures 6 1/2 x 2 5/8 inches.
