original 19th century antique american ornamental cast brass exterior residential entrance size doorknob likely fabricated by russell & erwin or possibly the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the oversized doorknob features a banded edge with abstract incised markings surrounding concentric ring containing floral motifs. the naturally aged surface patina was left untouched. green patination evident within the recessed regions. measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
