single fully functional refinished c. 1920's american vintage industrial slidable shoe shining stand "safety" shoe support designed and patented by james g. hontos of chicago, il. the cast bronze footrest is mounted against two parallel tubular steel rods to be slidable forwardly or rewardly of the seat as desired. the supporting "stop" plate encasing the two rods contains two large screw holes for mounting purposes. the shoe support was fabricated by the safety shoe rest & shoe shining company, chicago, il. the support makes for a unique wall-mount garment "hook." quantity available. measures 20 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 6 inches.
