original and largely intact c. 1890's american victorian era double-sided interior residential varnished oak wood fretwork designed and fabricated by the northwestern grilleworks, chicago, il. the highly detailed and finely executed grille features elaborate foliated scrollwork. the painstakingly carved ornament is brittle, but largely intact. the older varnished surface finish is mostly uniform throughout. the decorative oak wood panel was salvaged from an early 1890's graystone mansion undergoing demolition. 57.5 x 1.75 x 17.5" some significant damage to the lattice work; includes broken pieces for potential repair
