Description

intact late 19th century american commercial building exterior wrought iron tie rod or anchor end plate. uniquely-shaped with delicate fish hook ends. the centrally located holes contained the cylindrical rod (sometimes threaded) and fastener (i.e., hexagonal bolt). contains nice surface wear, including light pitting from prolonged exposure to the elements. fabricated by the manchester iron works co., st. louis, mo. measures 17 1/4 x 10 inches.
