oversized american antique industrial rolled rim factory office waste basket or trash can manufactured by the north western expanded metal co., chicago, il. the black painted waste basket was salvaged from a chicago factory office. designed and patented by joseph jantusek. the lightweight waste bin is composed of a single section of sheet metal which is "slitted and expanded" to form a uniform diamond mesh. the flared top with rolled rim or hoop is intact. embossed manufacturer markings on the bottom. several other variations available in stock. measures approximately 17 inches high with a mouth diameter of 16 inches.
