original c. 1890's american victorian era wall or ceiling mount ornamental cast iron heat register designed and fabricated by the tuttle & bailey manufacturing co., new york city, new york. the decorative interior residential ventilation grate remains partially intact, with the pivoting louvers removed long ago. the grate contains a mostly uniform black enameled finish. salvaged from a chicago greystone undergoing demolition. measures approximately 12 x 9 inches.
