Product Description

c. 1915-25 original and well-maintained freestanding antique american medical hospital operating room upright cabinet designed and fabricated by or for max wocher & sons co., cincinnati, oh. the distinctive clean and compact cabinet is comprised of heavy gauge cold-rolled steel with a brushed and sanded bare metal finish sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the upper section contains two highly desirable clear glass sidelights, along with a hinged from door with original t-handle. the interior has a single original thick, rolled edge or lip glass shelf supported my adjustable steel brackets or clips that engage four integrated tracks found in each of the corners. the bottom section features a multitude of diminutive drawers with original knob pulls. the log and narrow cabinet door on the right retains the original fully functional t-handle. the bassick casters are original and in good working order. salvaged long ago from the old cook county hospital located on harrison street in chicago, il. measures 20 x 16 x 67 1/2 inches.
