original hard to find and highly sought after depression era chicago transit authority map or brochure holder removed from an old chicago transit elevated passenger car. the pressed and folded steel flush mount slot with punched-out lettering was likely mounted against the back of the seats or possibly against the walls of the cars. the paper slots may have been used in the stations as well. the diminutive paper slot contains an older paint coat with nicely crazed finish. only one available.
