rare 1920s “architecture” periodical, volume lviii number 3, published by charles scribner’s sons in new york. the issue is from september 1928, and includes articles such as “the architecture of the synagogue” and a portfolio of garden walls. the softcover, staplebound publication has glossy pages with about 100 full-page advertisements for building services sandwiching the main periodical contents. there are a number of rich black and white photographs of building interiors and exteriors, sometimes juxtaposed with architectural renderings. this periodical documents architecture in philadelphia, new york, new jersey, portland, oregon, montecito, california and more. all 102 pages are in good condition, and tightly bound. the only notable wear is to the cover, which is edge-worn, as it is not flush with the book block. there is some penciled handwriting on the cover as well, and minor tearing at the head and tail of the spine. measures 9 x 12 inches.
