exceptionally rare and hard to find intact turn of the century american hanging oddfellows banner designed and executed by a. hoen & company, baltimore, md. the profusely illustrated or graphic banner is bedecked with a vibrant color scheme despite being well over a hundred years of age. the banner features a multitude of oval-shaped symbolic scenes pertaining to the oddfellows fraternal organization. the highly recognizable "all-seeing eye" is located at the very top. the original brass grommets and pressed and folded brass edges remain intact. a custom-built frame was made specifically to house this fragile piece of early oddfellows regalia. originated from an i.o.o.f. building located in milwaukee, wisc. measures 29 1/4 x 43 inches.
