reconfigured and refurbished vintage american industrial explosion or vapor-proof double light fixture designed and fabricated by the appleton electric co., chicago, il. the reinforced caged electric light fixture was salvaged from a midwestern grain elevator undergoing demolition. the double light appleton fixture contains solid steel socket housings with snap-on cast aluminum bulb-guards or cages. the heavy gauge threaded steel pipes and flange contain a metallic bronze enameled finish. the globes or "jars" are comprised of impact-resistant ruby red glass. the versatile fixture can be mounted on the wall, ceiling or a table. multiple fixture available in a variety of configurations.
