original c. 1940's american machine age clean and sleek pressed and folded sheet steel office or hospital side chair fabricated by rainbow metal units corp., long island city, ny. the four-legged base is comprised of square tubular steel with brazed joint stretchers for added strength and stability. the chair is designed with a spacious contoured backrest and sunken seat. thoroughly refinished and treated with a clear coat lacquer. excellent overall condition, considering age.
