very unique and finely built repurposed early 20th century vintage american industrial factory "pipe rack" shelving unit dating to 1912-15. the fully adjustable cast iron pipe racks and old growth pine wood bench top wood planks were used in the old boylston steam specialties co. factory since 1912. the freestanding pipe racks with double arm brackets were manufactured by the western kicley co., chicago, il. the old growth pine wood planks have been sanded down and treated with a clear coat sealant. the cast iron supports, bases and brackets were thoroughly cleaned, brushed and treated with a clear coat lacquer. measures 72 x 14 x 44 inches.
