modified c. 1920's american art deco machine age stationary four-legged low-lying hospital examination room stool designed and fabricated by the national mineral co., chicago, il. the adjustable height stool contains a newly added solid maple wood oversized seat with lightly varnished finish. the bent tubular steel legs are reinforced with a flat strap metal circular-shaped stretcher containing two lightly incised rings. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a cleat coat finish. seat height measures 20 inches.
