one-of-a-kind vintage american industrial freestanding factory foreman desktop paperweight "robot" salvaged from a chicago area gear and sprocket factory. the hand-made folk art figure is comprised of cast iron and solid steel sprockets or gears with tubular arms and assorted fittings welded together. the old metallic gold paint finish remains largely intact. the robot's bobble head is affixed to the body with a single steel spring or coil. the bright red hardened plastic control lever knob contains lightly incised markings with white inlay. very unique and distinctive industrial folk art piece. measures 4 x 4 x 9 inches.
