c. 1940's vintage american industrial single-sided baked enameled die cut steel "no smoking" danger sign designed and fabricated by the stonehouse steel sign co., denver, co. the single-sided sign features the word "danger" in white letters against a cardinal-red oval surrounded by a jet black background. the danger logo was copyrighted in 1912 by james wesley stonehouse. the oversized factory wall-mount sign was salvaged from a general electric machine shop. surface discoloration evident. measures 20 x 14 inches.
