original and intact american vintage medical bent tubular steel "aseptic" hospital operating room stool designed and fabricated by william v. willis & co., philadelphia, pa. the pressed and folded swivel seat with slightly sunken center it attached to a movable solid steel threaded rod or spindle. the welded joint steel rod cross-bracing provides added support and stability. the low-lying medical stool was salvaged from the old cook county hospital, chicago, il. the stationary stool contains a uniform silver metallic enameled finish. seat height adjusts from approximately 19 to 24 inches.
